I needed a little motivation to make something so I decided to play along with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. This is the first time I've participated and it is just what I need to give me a little push and inspiration. After I made this card, I realized it was pretty similar to a card I posted last week. Oh well, I guess it is just my style. Anyway, here is the sketch for this week:
And here is my interpretation:
I used Skylark PML (Picture My Life) cards for the focal point. I mounted them on a piece of pear cardstock and trimmed them down. For the polka dot and herringbone strips, I placed washi tape on white cardstock to give it a bit more stiffness. I flagged the ends of the herringbone washi and mounted it on foam tape. I stamped a sentiment, tied a piece of jute around the card front, rounded the corners and, voila, you have a card--quick and easy. All products from CTMH (except the jute, it was in my stash).
cardstock: daisy white, pear
ink: exclusive inks black
washi: gold polka dot (Z1920); lagoon herringbone (retired)
stamps: Have a happy day (D1616)
PML cards: Z1947
If you have never tried the PML cards, August is a great time to start. In August, if you purchase a PML kit, you can also purchase a set of 10 memory protectors (page protectors) for only $3.
Also, with a $50 purchase you can purchase this darling stamp set for only $5.00. Now how cute is that?

Until next time, keep on crafting.
