Oh Happy Day

I felt like making something fast and colorful and I saw this card posted on the Heart2Heart Challenge blog. I decided to "scraplift" it using the colors in the Whimsy color palette. For the washi strips I used the retired hostess stamp set, Washi Wonder. I hope you got it while it was available because it is now gone :-(. Maybe it will reappear in a later catalog, one can only hope. For the balloon and sentiment, I used one of the stamps sets in the Cricut Artiste bundle. The shapes were cut from the Artiste cartridge. The balloon string is our Diagonal Striped Ribbon in thistle. The washi was stamped in Thistle, Crystal Blue, Sweet Leaf, and Canary.

Here's the inside:

If you have never tried the PML cards, August is a great time to start.  In August, if you purchase a PML kit, you can also purchase a set of 10 memory protectors (page protectors) for only $3.

Also, with a $50 purchase you can purchase this darling stamp set for only $5.00.  Now how cute is that?

Thinking of You

I needed a little motivation to make something so I decided to play along with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.  This is the first time I've participated and it is just what I need to give me a little push and inspiration.  After I made this card, I realized it was pretty similar to a card I posted last week.  Oh well, I guess it is just my style.  Anyway, here is the sketch for this week:

And here is my interpretation:

I used Skylark PML (Picture My Life) cards for the focal point.  I mounted them on a piece of pear cardstock and trimmed them down.  For the polka dot and herringbone strips, I placed washi tape on white cardstock to give it a bit more stiffness.  I flagged the ends of the herringbone washi and mounted it on foam tape.  I stamped a sentiment, tied a piece of jute around the card front, rounded the corners and, voila, you have a card--quick and easy.  All products from CTMH (except the jute, it was in my stash).

cardstock: daisy white, pear
ink: exclusive inks black
washi: gold polka dot (Z1920); lagoon herringbone (retired)
stamps: Have a happy day (D1616)
PML cards: Z1947

CTMH Blog Boosters New Product Blog Hop

Today's the day!  The new Annual Inspirations goes live today.  Annual Inspirations is our now yearly Idea Book and catalog.  Some of us are celebrating by participating in a new product blog hop which showcases products in the new catalog.  Today I am presenting a Christmas card gift set using the new Snowhaven paper collection.  This paper is absolutely gorgeous.  I created a a card holder from the Cricut Artiste cartridge and created a set of cards using the Make it Merry Stamp Set.  It is never too early to start making your Christmas cards and these beautiful papers make it very easy to do just that.

I hope you like and will continue "hopping" along to see all of the other fabulous creations by my fellow Close to My Heart consultants.
