Happy Birthday

I remembered at the last minute that I hadn't made a card for my friend's birthday.  It was really easy to put one together using a Picture My Life card (PML) as a focal point.  These cards are so versatile.  Not only can they be used in your PML albums, but they can also be used on layouts, cards, mini albums and anything else you can think of. I'm using Skylark paper here once again.  I really like that paper collection and will be sad to see it go.  I also used our new Chevron Punch which will be available in the new Annual Inspirations catalog on August 1st.  I created the banners using the reverse side of the paper I used on the card and teal shimmer trim.  I stamped the sentiment from one of the stamp sets that came with the Art Philosophy cartridge and finished it off with a sparkle.  I hope you like it.  Until next time, keep on crafting.

Merci Beaucoup Redux

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful summer weather, not too hot nor too cold in my neck of the woods.

I made this card awhile ago but I hadn't shared it so I thought that since this paper is leaving at the end of the month, I would go ahead and get it posted.  I created the card base and the mat using Spellbinders Labels Eight dies.  I cut two of the lagoon shapes and joined them together at the top with adhesive.  I cut the mat with a smaller die from that set.  The balloon is stamped on Skylark paper and paper pieced.  The basket of flowers was colored with our Exclusive Inks stamp pads and a blender pen.

Don't forget, the current Idea Book is ending on July 31st and the new Annual Inspirations debuts on August 1st.  None of the current papers are carrying over so you'd better grab anything you have been procrastinating about getting.

Until next time, keep on crafting.

Merci Beaucoup

I needed a quick Thank You card and I whipped one up using the Balloon Ride paper pack and the Give a Lift Stamp Set.  I thought the sentiment fit perfectly inside the little banner on the hot air balloon.  I used Saddle cardstock as my card base and both sides of the Balloon Ride B&T Duo for my panels.  The image is mounted on on Crystal Blue cardstock.  I finished it off with the Brown and Tan Sparkles Assortment.  If you like these papers and stamps, you'd better hurry and get them because they are being retired at the end of this month.

Items used:

Paper: Balloon Ride Paper Pack X7180B, Saddle cardstock X5928, Crystal Blue cardstock 1292
Stamps: Give a Lift D1581
Ink: Saddle Z2171, Crystal Blue Z2117
Other: Brown and Tan Sparkles Assortment Z1743

Until next time, keep on crafting.

Let's Celebrate!

Well, it seems that most of my blog posts begin with an apology for not posting in a long time so I'll just skip that this time and say "Happy 4th of July!"

I created this card using June's Stamp of the Month, Kaboom (S1406).  I used Outdoor Denim and Cranberry for the card base and mats.  I also used White Daisy card stock and stamped the fireworks and tickets with Outdoor Denim and Cranberry Exclusive Inks.  I made two banners using the red Shimmer Trim.

The SOTM for July is Circus Alphabet (S1407) and it can be yours for $5 with a $50.00 purchase.

The current catalog is coming to a close and there are only a few weeks left to get any retiring items so if there is something you've been wanting to get, you'd better hurry!

I hope you all have a safe and fun 4th of July and until next time, keep on crafting!
