July Specials

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July.  I had a great day spent with family and friends.  The kids hung out in the pool until we made them come in and boy did we eat!

I--and all of the other CTMH consultants--are so excited because the new catalog is going to be revealed in less than two weeks.  I am going to have to use some serious restraint to keep from buying too much.  You can still order from the current catalog and the Autumn/Winter 2011 until July 31st.

Until then, this is the last campaign and Stamp of the Month for the current catalog.  If you place an online order according to the listed guidelines, you can receive free goodies.

The July SOTM is so cute.  Place your order of $50 or more and you can purchase this set for $5.

Until next time, keep on crafting.

Let Your Light Shine

I took advantage of Stampaganza and bought some new stamp sets that I had been wanting.  When I saw the Perfect Day set, I knew it would be perfect for masculine cards.  I don't make too many of them and I always resort to my favorite Tim Holtz set when I do.  I also thought I would try a sponging technique.  I really like how it turned out.  Tell me what you think.

There are only a couple of days left to take advantage of Stampaganza.  Buy two stamp sets and get one of equal or lesser value free!

All Products CTMH unless otherwise stated:
Cardstock: Pacifica, Elemental, Colonial White
Stamps: Perfect Day
Ink: Sky, Creme Brulee', Pacifica, Black
Dies: Spellbinders

A Little Birdie Told Me...

Here is a quick, cute little card I cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. I used the Dotty for You paper pack--you'll probably be seeing this for awhile since I bought three packages--and the June Stamp of the Month. The label shape was also cut from AP. I dyed the ribbon using CTMH buttercup ink and the pearl flourish is from Michael's.

This is a view of the inside. I used the little birdie that was cut out from the front of the card.

You can still get the June SOTM for $5 by making a $50 purchase and you can compound your savings by taking advantage of Stampaganza. Buy two stamp sets and get one of equal or lesser value for free. Just click on the Shop With Me badge on the right side of the screen.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday!

My cousin called this morning and invited me over for a little get-together this afternoon to celebrate my aunt's 83rd birthday.  Of course, me being me, didn't have a card already prepared.  I turned to my go-to Cricut Art Philosphy cartridge and came up with this card.  I was visiting Terry Ann Diack's blog and she cut these flowers for a mini album and I knew I had to use them for something.   When I was trying to come up with a quick card idea, I thought of these flowers.  The flowers are on page 50 (flower8) and the branch is on page 35 (branch2).  I cut the branch at 2" and the flowers and layers at 1.75".  I used the Dotty for You paper pack and Lagoon ink.   The sentiment stamp is one that comes in the Cricut bundle.  I placed a white layer on top of the white card base and distressed the edges.  I think I might add more pearls to the top right and bottom left corner.  What do you think?

Now, do I have time to put together a little card set as a gift?  Hmm, better get going.

Now is a great time to get those stamp sets that you've had on your wish list.  From now through the end of June, for every two stamp sets you purchase at full retail price, you can get one free.  That's three for the price of two!

If that isn't enough, take a look at the June Stamp of the Month, Life is Tweet.  I think this is the cutest set ever.  To get yours, simply make a $50 purchase and you can get this set for only $5.  To order, click the "Shop with Me" link on the right side of the page.

If you've been sitting on the fence about hosting a home gathering, June is a great month to do so.  To schedule your gathering, click on the Contact Me button on the right side of the screen.  Until next time, keep on crafting.

Long Time, No Post

My poor blog has been neglected for the past couple of months.  I've been kind of busy but mostly just procastinating about posting.  I've joined Close to My Heart as an Independent Consultant and I am really excited about the fact that I can use the products for scrapbooking and cardmaking.  I made this little card using the Dotty for You paper pack and the May Stamp of the Month, Friendship Bouquet.

Unfortunately today is the last day you can get either of these great products but hold on...!!! Tomorrow is June 1st which means it is Stampaganza.  If you buy two stamp sets, you can get one free! The June SOTM will be available beginning tomorrow also. I'll be back with pictures. My computer has gone absolutely bonkers and I'm posting from my iPad right now. Hopefully, I can get the "geniuses" on the phone and they can get me up and running soon.

Until then, keep on crafting.

Just a Note of Thanks

This card was inspired by a card I saw at  It is a clean and simple card using white cardstock for the card base as well as the layer.  I scored the layer all the way around and stamped the sentiment using A Muse orange pigment ink.  The flower is a two step stamp.  The outline is stamped in versamark and embossed using black embossing powder.  The second step is stamped in orange.  I cut it out and popped it up for dimension.  The leaf is a Sizzix die. I hope you like it.  Until next time, keep on stamping.

All products by A Muse Studio unless otherwise noted:
cardstock: sugar
ink: orange, Versamark
embossing powder: black (not sure which brand)
stamps: Life is a Song, Floral Duet
leaf die: Sizzix

Here is a quick little card that I created using my Cricut.  I just love how easy it is to create a card by selecting a card base and just adding the layers.  This card was cut from my current favorite cartridge, Art Philosophy.

The card base and layer were cut at 4.25" and the tag was cut at 3".  I believe I cut the butterfly at 2" but I don't remember right now.  The card base and tag are Vanilla cardstock from A*muse.  The paper used for the layer and butterfly are from My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Out of the Blue collection, pearls from Recollections, ink is A*muse French Roast and the stamp is from my stash.  Thanks for stopping by, and until next time, keep on crafting.

This is the Valentine's Day card I made for my husband.  I don't think he looks at my blog so I'm not worried about him seeing this post although it has been lying on my craft room table, so who knows.  Anyway, these papers are so gorgeous that they really didn't need much in terms of embellishment.  I made the card base from A*Muse kraft cardstock.  The patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Union Square collection.  The twine is from A*Muse and the hearts are cut from the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More Cricut cartridge.

Birthday Wishes

This is one of the cards we made at my workshop this weekend.  It is a simple design that can be used for any occasion just by changing the sentiment or the color of the cardstock and ink.  In fact, we made this same card during the A*Muse On the Road event last summer only we used kraft cardstock and lemon whip ribbon and ink.  On this version, I used slate cardstock and ink and pebble satin ribbon.  I blinged it up a bit with pearls on the leaves.  The stamps used are from Beautiful Botanicals 2 and Contemporary Greetings.  I apologize for the poor photography but I have been using my iPad to take the picture and then send it directly to my blog.  Unfortunately, there is not much editing capability in that process but boy is it easy.  Anyway, until next time, keep on crafting.

February Spotlight

This is an exciting day.  The new catalog is available online--see the link on the right to view the pdf version.  Click the link to my A*Muse website if you would like to place an order online.  Also, the February Spotlight is up.  Just to refresh your memory, the Spotlight features several stamp sets that are on sale during the current month at 10% off as well as packs of assorted cardstock.  This month's spotlight includes one of our new stamp sets, Floral Duet, as well as Birthday Builders which has been re-released in red rubber.  It was a clear stamp set in the previous catalog.  The cardstock assortment includes two of our new  colors,  Seattle and Lido.  I think the colors in this collection are absolutely gorgeous.  If you would like to purchase any of the spotlight items, I urge you to do so right away because the spotlight sets usually sell out very quickly.  I know you don't want to have to wait for a backorder so go ahead and place your order ASAP.

I received an order of catalogs in the mail today.  If you would like to reserve a copy, send me an email.

One of a Kind

Here's a quick Valentine's Day card that I put together for an upcoming workshop, then I changed my mind--unfortunately, I do that quite often.  The gumball machine and the gumballs were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics.  The heart in the center of the gumballs is a heart Twinkle Sticker.  It doesn't show up very well in the photograph but it gives the card a nice little touch of bling.  I think it turned out kinda cute.

All products by A*Muse:
Stamps: Sweetheart background stamp; Sweet Love
Cardstock: Sugar, Bubblegum
Ink: Memento Black
Copic: RV14

Exciting Times!

I've been in New Orleans for the past few days at the Amuse Studio 1st National Conference. It was an amazing time meeting fellow creative consultants from all over the country, receiving valuable training, and of course, seeing the new catalog which is being released on February 1st. You are going to be so thrilled with the new products we have to offer you--new stamps, cardstock, colors, dies, oh my! I can't wait to share them with you. I'm having a new catalog open house soon and I would love for you to come by and see it, do a make and take, and have some refreshments. I'll post the date as soon as I get back home.

Amuse is an amazing company with amazing support and I am so happy to get in on the ground floor. I dont use the word 'amazing' that often but I've used it a lot in this post which means I am very impressed with all that I've seen and heard. I would love to share this opportunity with you and if you would like to talk about owning your own Amuse business, use the email link at the top of the page to contact me.

Here are some pictures from the conference:

Here is Heather, our creative director; Linda, our CEO and founder; and Emily. I'm sorry I don't remember Emily's title but she is very instrumental in keeping us consultants happy and the operation running smoothly.

This is just one wall of amazing creations by fellow consultants using Amuse products.

I had to include a picture of the hotel patio. The temp here in NOLA has averaged 75 degrees which is pretty amazing to me considering I barely got out of Chicago before the snowstorm.

Until next time, keep on crafting.
